Radikal Ungdom is the Danish name for the Social-Liberal Youth of Denmark. Social-liberalism combines social consciousness with traditional liberal viewpoints.
Radikal Ungdom is an independent, political youth organization. It intends to gather young people who share social-liberal beliefs. The organization was founded in 1994, but it belongs to a movement that goes back to 1911. Radikal Ungdom is the official youth organization for Det Radikale Venstre - the Danish Social-Liberal Party.
Through Radikal Ungdom its members can develop a greater understanding of Danish politics. The organization introduces young people to all aspects of life as a politician. The organization offers them the chance to present and defend their own views, to develop the politics of Radikal Ungdom and also to develop their own skills as leaders and organizers. Another important purpose of Radikal Ungdom is to be a sparring partner and watchdog for the Social-Liberal Party, especially the parliamentary group.
Radikal Ungdom arranges seminars, political meetings and study tours to increase knowledge about and interest in Danish and international politics and social conditions.
